Growing up in Delaware County as a working-class Irish kid, I never imagined I’d end up on Wall Street. My journey into financial services began in an unlikely place – a Saint Joseph’s University classroom where the Wall Street Journal served as our textbook and a bow-tied professor named Dr. Kenny sparked what would become a lifelong passion for helping others build financial security.
After decades serving clients on Wall Street, I knew in my heart there was a better way – one that put clients first and gave advisors the freedom to truly serve them. That’s why, as co-founder of Maverick Partners, I’ve helped create something fundamentally different. Here, we believe in opening ourselves up to clients as much as they open up to us, creating genuine relationships built on mutual trust and understanding.
I’ve always believed having two ears and one mouth means we should listen twice as much as we speak – a philosophy that’s helped me deeply understand each client’s unique situation. Through regular communication and a focus on long-term planning rather than quick fixes, I help clients maintain perspective through market cycles while working toward their personal definition of success. I also believe a sharp mind requires a healthy body, and going to the gym during my lunch breaks helps me bring my best self to every client meeting.
When I’m not serving as a financial advisor, you’ll find me pursuing blue marlin off the shores of Cape May or Costa Rica. Both deep-sea fishing and financial services require patience, attention to detail, and staying calm in challenging conditions. But my greatest joy comes from family – being a husband, father, and grandfather has taught me invaluable lessons about what truly matters in life.
At Maverick, we’re managing wealth, but we’re also building relationships, fostering trust, and helping good people who appreciate genuine partnership work towards their financial goals. That’s what makes me excited to come to work every Monday morning, and what drives me to keep learning, listening, and serving our clients better each day. Not bad for an Irishman from Delaware County.
