They say if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. After 25 years in financial services and co-founding Maverick Partners, I can tell you that’s only half true – I work harder than ever, but I’ve never been happier doing it.
From my early days ranking in the top of my own Dean Witter training class to, decades later, creating the opportunity to leave our big corporate firm and establish an independent practice, I’ve learned that being good at what you do matters, but being good to work with matters just as much.
At Maverick, the firm I co-founded with a vision of building something different, we’ve created a place where relationships are more important than transactions.
I believe financial security is the foundation that lets people live their best lives. It’s why I take such pride in helping clients build that security for themselves and their families. As a financial advisor, I combine comprehensive, personalized portfolio management with clear communication and a genuine commitment to understanding each client’s unique needs. Because while wealth management is serious business, building lasting relationships means truly knowing the people you serve.
Outside of the office, my greatest joy comes from being present in my children’s lives, from coaching their sports teams to supporting their college journeys. When I’m not at work or with family, you might catch me at hot yoga during lunch breaks – centering my mind and working up a sweat – or adding to my collection of one-of-a-kind sneakers (a passion that my wife tolerates and my clients have come to know me for). I believe in bringing my whole self to everything I do, because the best client relationships are built on trust, expertise, and a good sense of humor. These experiences have reinforced what I believe matters most: preparation, teamwork, and taking the long view – principles that guide everything we do at Maverick.
In the end, my goal isn’t just to be a successful advisor – it’s to be the kind of person clients look forward to calling.
